About Bestwood Park

Depicted on the 1609 Crown Survey Map of Sherwood Forest as ‘Bescott Park’, the area would once have been part of the largest of the royal deer parks of medieval Sherwood Forest. As a housing estate, it was developed mainly during the late 1950s and early 1960s to deal with the growing demand for homes in the Nottinghamshire area.

Bestwood Park has a range of amenities including schools, churches and local shops and is a popular choice for first time buyers due to property being relatively more affordable than some surrounding areas.

There are good transport links from Bestwood Park to the surrounding areas and Nottingham City Centre with the area being served by the Brown and Purple lines. If driving, the B6004 (Oxclose Lane) gives access to the A60 (Mansfield Road) which leads to the city centre.

Nearby is Bestwood Country Park offering 650 acres of open space and beautiful woodland walks.
