Carlton Town Lions 7 – 0 Hyson Green Cavaliers

After a long Christmas break, Carlton were itching to play with two new signings: Conor Pauley and Ousman Cham.

With the windy conditions making it tough, Carlton started to get to grips with the conditions and late into the first half, Ousman Sagnia smashed in a shot for Carlton to take the lead.

A shot from Amadu Kanteh was parried by the Hyson Green keeper into the path of Conor Pauley to simply head in to open his account for Carlton.

In the second half, Ousman Cham and Emerson Whitham were brought into the action to up the tempo and it paid off. Dan Chambers continued his pre-Christmas form with a goal and Carlton started to play some neat, quick football. Conor Pauley grabbed his second of the game and Dan Chambers also got a second taking his tally to 19 for the season.

The Lions found themselves cruising their way through the rest of the game with Conor completing his debut hat-trick and Emerson Whitham also getting on the score sheet to make it 7-0 to Carlton.
