Lambley is a small village near Nottingham. The village was famous for framework knitting. There is a stream called Cocker Beck running through the "Dumbles" (woods) and on through the middle of the village. Due in part to its close commuting distance to Nottingham (approx 6 miles) houses in the village have become sought after. There are three public houses, The Woodlark Inn, The Robin Hood Inn and The Lambley Village Kitchen. Nottingham City Transport serves the villages with regular buses to Nottingham. Holy Trinity Church, located in the historic centre of the village, is a Norman church with a tower.
