The end of Section 21 notices

It was officially confirmed during the government’s Queen’s Speech that no-fault Section 21 evictions will be abolished at some point in the future.

Whilst very little other information has been provided about the specifics of this being done, we fully expect a reform of eviction proceedings to be included as part of this change. With Section 8 notices being the only alternative to Section 21 notices, we are hopeful that the grounds on which you can ask a Tenant to leave will be reviewed.

Given that this news is still fresh and largely vague in detail we will keep a close eye on progress and keep you updated as further information is announced!
