About Woodborough

Woodborough is located seven miles north-east of Nottingham. The Village is regarded by many as one of the most sought-after locations to live in within Nottingham underlined by the picturesque properties, the attractive public houses, historic church and inviting open spaces.

St. Swithun’s Church has a 13th-century tower with a 14th-century chancel. Woodborough was a framework-knitting village, and some two-storey cottages with ground-floor knitter’s windows remain at the junction of Main Street and Shelt Hill.

For shopping, residents usually travel to the neighbouring village of Calverton, which is served by a variety of shops or travel further afield to Mapperley or Arnold for supermarkets and other facilities or into Nottingham City Centre for a whole host of amenities. However the village does boast its own Londis Village Store.

Woodborough has a primary school called Woodborough Woods Foundation CofE Primary School

Nottingham City Transport runs the 47 and 46 through the village which provide access to Lambley, Mapperley and Nottingham City Centre.
