Vacancies
David James are looking for an accompanied viewer to work with their established, successful team. The candidate will be primarily field-based in their role and will front-line the business showing potential purchasers around a mixture of empty, tenanted and occupied properties where we are required to carry out appointments.
In many situations the accompanied viewer will provide the first (and sometimes only) contact with a Client and therefore it is imperative the candidate conducts themselves in a professional manner and appear smart and well-presented at all times.
Given the busy nature of the role, punctuality is essential and it is expected that a candidate will arrive at a property in plenty of time to unlock and air a property as well as open curtains etc. The first part of each working day will be to visit our Mapperley office to organise your diary and collect keys for the day as well as confirm your appointments via the telephone with Clients before embarking on your day’s appointments.
Our accompanied viewers are expected to make use of their own vehicle to carry out this role and therefore would need to inform their insurance company that they will be using their vehicle for business purposes. Mileage logs will need to be accurately recorded using AA routefinder and mileage payments will be made on presentation of this documentation.
Mileage is paid at 45p per mile accrued.
We are looking for someone to work three days each week.
Office hours are:
Weekdays: 09:00 – 17:30 on weekdays (8 hours with 30 minutes for lunch).
Saturdays: 09:00 – 16:00 (6.5 hours with 30 minutes for lunch).
For three weeks out of every four, a Saturday will be worked as one of your working days. On week four, a weekday will be worked in place of the Saturday. The working schedule will therefore be 22.5 hours for weeks 1-3, and 24 hours for week 4.
The role is salaried at £10.50 per hour and this working schedule above will give an annual salary of £12,489.
The accompanied viewer position is a varied role with the opportunity to meet different people on a daily basis as well as visit a variety of housing stock.
