About Arnold

Once an area of ancient woodland, the market town of Arnold is now the largest within the Gedling Borough. The busy market place sits nestled by the contrasting lush green outdoor spaces of Arnot Hill Park and Arnold’s Civic Centre.  These family friendly parks are both situated within a short walking distance of the hustle and bustle of Arnold Town Centre.  Excellent bus links provide easy access throughout Arnold with the Lilac, Lime, Purple and Turquoise Lines all providing routes into Nottingham City Centre and surrounding areas.

Arnold has a wide range of shops ranging from larger retailers such as ASDA and Sainsbury’s through to small family businesses.  There are a variety of independent cafes and restaurants to enjoy which offer a diverse range of cuisines, as well as a number of pubs and bars to choose from.

Arnold Leisure Centre sits at the heart of the town and provides a range of facilities for the local community. including a swimming bath, the Bonington Theatre and the connected library. Further to this, less than a mile out of the town centre is a retail park which is home to a DIY centre, electrical and homeware store.

There are an abundance of Primary and Secondary Schools in the area including Arnold View, Arnold Mill, Coppice Farm, Arnold Hill Academy and The Redhill Academy.
