When Carolyn Parsons wanted to sell her Mapperley home, there was only one agent for her.
“We’d originally had our house valued a year before moving, calling in two local agents. This approach would allow us to come up in an increased number of search brackets and, having spotted the property, buyers with a slightly lower budget might well decide to push themselves a little higher to secure their dream home.
“We followed his advice and had so much interest – 25 viewings in the space of a week – that David James recommended asking for sealed bids, with a closing date for best and final offers to be submitted. Five offers were put forward, with the property selling for £155,500, only two weeks after going on the market.
“We couldn’t be happier with the outcome – David’s pricing approach really worked for us and the final sale price exceed our expectations. If we’d gone with the other agent’s valuation we would have lost out on over £30,000!”
