A big game for Carlton Town this week coming up for the second time against Basford Utd who beat the Lions 9-2 in their previous encounter.
Basford took an early lead but Carlton’s heads never dropped as they responded straight away with Dan Chambers continuing his scoring spree. Carlton went on to get a second from a corner with Emerson Whitham bagging his first for the club.
Daniel Chambers got another and Marcus Barton added a fourth with every Carlton player performing – 4-1 at half time.
In the second half, Basford wanted to settle the score but Ousman Sagnia’s trickery caused them problems with Brendan O’Donnell and Marcus Barton winning everything in midfield.
Basford responded with two goals but Carlton were never concerned with Dan Chambers, in a rich vain of form, grabbing two to make it 6-3 to the Lions. Daniels now on 12 goals in 7 games.
