Carlton Town Lions 5 – 2 Edwalton Cavaliers Blue

Carlton wanted to get back to their winning ways after last Saturday’s defeat to the league leaders.

The game kicked off and after 10 minutes, Edwalton had their keeper sent off after bringing down Dan Chamber in the area. Carlton were awarded a penalty which was cooly slotted home by Bailey Kilcullen to make it 1-0 to the Lions.

Edwalton, even though a man short, began closing down and causing problems to and managed to pull a goal back to make it 1-1.

In the second half after a strong team talk by their manager, Carlton seemed to start dictating the game but after an Edwalton cross against the run of play, the ball spooned off a Carlton defender to go over Ansu Gaye in goal to make it 1-2 Edwalton.

In response, Carlton broke through and after some nice movement from Jordan Percival created some space for him to pull Carlton level.

The Lions started to take control yet again and top scorer Dan Chambers added two more to his tally and Ousman Sagnia produced the Goal of the Game by smartly chipping the Edwalton keeper to make it 5-2.
