To celebrate the magic of the festive season, we’re proud to be running our Christmas At My Home project, bringing together creativity, community, and Christmas spirit from across Nottinghamshire.
This year, we invited children from eight local schools to take part by creating a festive piece of art that shows what Christmas at home means to them. From cosy family traditions and festive decorations to the excitement and joy that fills homes at this time of year, the children’s work captures the season beautifully through their own unique perspectives.
Each school selected young artists to take part, and we’re delighted to be showcasing their creations throughout the Christmas period. The artwork is currently on display in our office windows, brightening up our branches for the local community to enjoy, and we’ll also be sharing each school’s work across our social media channels from Wednesday 17th December through to Christmas Eve.
As part of the project, we’re also keen to support creativity beyond Christmas – so every participating child will receive a £10 book voucher, and each school will receive £100 towards equipment and supplies, helping to encourage creative learning well into the future.
We’d like to say a huge thank you to all the schools, teachers, and children involved in this project. The creativity has helped bring festive cheer to our offices and our wider community!
If you’re out and about over the festive period, be sure to take a look at our office windows, and don’t forget to check out our social media channels each day as we celebrate every school involved.
