Rolls Royce Leisure 9 – 1 Carlton Town Lions

Carlton travelled to Watnall Road, Hucknall this weekend to face Rolls Royce Leisure with both teams going into the game unbeaten so far this season.

Rolls started game brighter by playing fast, neat football but Carlton’s midfield managed to counter their attacking. Rolls took the lead through a penalty leaving the Lions’ keeper with little chance. Rolls were then rampant down the left side but Carlton started to find their feet with Daniel Chambers smashing in an equaliser to make it 1-1, his fifth in as many games.

Rolls hit back and hit back hard. 7-1 to Rolls at half time. Carlton manager John Kilcullen made some changes by bringing on new signing Emerson Whitham who came in to the midfield to start getting the ball moving forward.

Carlton knuckled down in the second half and conceded only two more goals. A self described ‘bad day at the office’ but have vowed to bounce back next week.
